One of the things I love about living in Tallahassee these last few decades is how colorful it is most of the year. In the spring, and even earlier, we have a riot of color from the azaleas all around the city.
Right now our hydrangeas are in full bloom in the garden, so we bring a little of the outdoors inside to brighten the breakfast room. (Not the bedrooms though, never know who’s allergic to what!). They were actually the inspiration behind the color of our Essex Room.
Many of our guests have taken cuttings from Thom’s plants to get them started in their own gardens back home.
He’s managed (don’t ask me how) to cultivate hydrangeas from deep purple to light pink and every blue in between.
He’s a clever man.
You can tell him I said so.
